Hi,
Kodah (Pierre) had a nice vet check.   The vet loved him!  He was pleased that his worming had been started and said everything looked good.  He said he had nice markings.

Kodah loves children. He also loves the cat.. too bad she doesn't feel the same about him.  We are working on chewing and biting.  (go figure since he is a lab) :-)   He is responding to his name and also to "no".  He is doing ok on his potty training.  We are working on "come" when we go back in the house.. He would love to stay outside all day.  He saw some boys playing across the street and wanted to go play.  He was quite upset that I wouldn't let him.  I think they reminded him of your boys.  He also loves his cages and does very well. He had his first 3 hours alone on Sunday and had an accident but did very well other than that.

He is an active boy.  But we are loving every moment with him.  He had a nice Christmas.  He gets so excited when children are around.

UPDATE:
Just wanted to tell you that Kodah finished a 5 week course on obedience.. he still has very far to go.. he is a very spirited pup! (A little spoiled too!) However the trainer told us today that she has had a lot of labs come thru her class but that Kodah was the best looking lab she has ever seen!  :-)  He IS a handsome guy!  but lots of energy! We recently moved to an Easy Lead head harness.  It has made a major improvement in his walking behavior.

Hello,

Sorry I'm so late sending this picture.  Thank you for the call on
Susie's birthday and thank you for the info on Susie.  She certainly has a lot of personality, and she is so loving.  We also have another lab who is 8 years old, and he puts up with a lot from her.  Every time they go out the door Susie grabs a hold of Gage's neck and drags him out the door and you better get out of the way!  Under the pic you might put . We think she is very beautiful also and we are so thankful to have her!

Hi  Brooke,

We just wanted to let you know that Amos is adjusting just fine here in Nebraska.  He has a friend ( a 5 year old yellow lab) as our back neighbor.  So they enjoy each others company.  Amos has so much love here, he's definetely a member of the family now.  We appreciate you bringing him into our lives.

Attached, are a few pictures of him in our home in Nebraska.

Hope you enjoy them, and thanks for his puppy pics.

God Bless,

Homer is doing really well, eating a lot, sleeping all through the night. He's really an exceptional dog-incredibly smart, even tempered, good natured and there's a kind of nobility about him. Amazingly he already completely understands that he's to do his buisiness outside...Phil took him to our vet and not only did he check out fine physically, the vet commented on what a good tempermant he had and how important that was in a puppy.  He really is a great dog. We feel so lucky. Thank-you so much.

{ Reece was a surprise birthday present! }
Oh my gosh! He was sooo got! I had a box wrapped with a lid to put the pup in, but he wouldn't stay in it!!! So, I left him in the pet carrier in the back of the van and called him on my cell phone when I got in the driveway and asked him if he could come outside for a second. When he came out he asked what I needed, what did I have?! I pulled out the pup and he about died!!! He was so excited and happy! I really surprised him godd! They have been inseperable ever since!

Reece is being trained as a flushing dog for quail, chuckur and pheasant.  He has to smell the birds he is hunting before he goes out to find them. He is doing excellent and qualified for the Upland Nationals.

Clay is doing wonderfull, he was no worse the wear for his long trip to the East coast. He's just such a sweet and well mannered little guy.  He's loving and calm and funny to be around, we are very pleased with him.  We got him to our vet and he was given a clean bill of health and cooed over by all of the girls in the office - he ate it up!  He travels well in the car, sleeps beautifully in his crate and has not had an accident in the house, he seems very bright.  He does have great eyes, everyone seems to comment on them, especially when he turns on his "I'm ever so cute" look and then who could resist.  Thank you Brooke, I'm really so glad all worked out, he was worth the wait.

Hello Brooke and Happy New Year.  I know I have not been very good about giving you updates as to Clay's progress in life, but I so wanted to share with you that today, Friday, January 7th marks Clay's first real pheasant hunt and my husband has reported that he did awesomely!!  Everyone always comments on what a beautiful boy we have and today on the hunt was no exception.  I just thought you would like to hear how one of your boys is doing almost 2 years later.  We adore him and are so proud of him.

Hi Brooke,
I finally got around to scanning Clay's professional picture.  This was actually taken over the summer, so he's a bit bigger now.  He's an absolutely beautiful beast as my friend always says.  If we ever decide to give him a little brother or sister, you will be the first person we turn to.  We adore him Brooke, he brings such comic relief and beauty to our lives.

Thanks so much for my little girl Belle [ Ariel's Dixie Belle ]! We are having lots of fun, she just completed handling classes and is entered in her first show next week. Her pre-limanary health testing is all looking good, too. Thanks again for her!...Belle has recently placed third and fourth in several classes at her first show.

It all went so well. From sending deposits, e-mailing pictures and updates each week, picking him up at the air-port and I only had to sign one paper and we left. It was all like a dream... Kaluha is doing great! He seems to be adjusting well. He made it through the night perfect! Right now he is sleeping at my feet...

Reece is the most amazing puppy I have ever owned.  We have him sitting, staying (somewhat), giving you his paw, walking without a leash (in certain areas and very well behaved).  Whenever I walk him and stop walking he immediately sits on my left side without a command.  Also, there have been no accidents and/or crying during the night for the last several days.  However, housebreaking is a little slower. In closing, in the one week that we have had him I cannot believe all that we have accomplished together. We thank you.
